Red and Black Granite for Brand New Car Park, Coventry
In the run up to Coventry being the UK City of Culture in 2021, Coventry City Council is carrying out a major regeneration of the public realm.
As part of this project, the City Council has created 600 new parking spaces at the newly built Salt Lane multi-storey Car Park has provided parking for visitors to the city and the brand new water park, The Wave.
After securing this natural stone project with competitive pricing, a short lead time and exemplary customer service, BBS supplied 1000m2 of Chinese Red and Black Granite in a flamed finish.
Working closely with clients Buckingham Group Contracting, BBS were able to demonstrate considerable costs savings on the specified natural stone, and as experts in hard landscape projects and public realm regeneration of this type, knew that budget was a key consideration.
With creative use of the Granite setts in the demarcation areas, this natural stone project makes a real impact, yet remains sympathetic to its surroundings. As the main long stay car park for the City Centre, Salt Lane Car Park and the public realm regeneration will be a fabulous first impression for visitors to Coventry.
