Belfast’s Metropolitan College Pretty in Pink BBS Natural Stone.
Belfast’s Metropolitan College looks pretty surrounded in pink BBS Natural Stone.
Since completion in 2011, Queen’s Road in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter has been sporting an attractive pink public realm. The new BMC replaced existing facilities at College Square East and Brunswick Street and is now located just over from the Titanic Visitors Centre. After two years of construction, the college was opened to students in September 2011 who could enjoy brand new external paving and an internal courtyard with materials supplied by BBS Natural Stone.
The front of the building shows off a colourful entrance and surrounding pathways with BBS Red Multi Granite as the architects wanted to create a vibrant living community for all who study, work or live there.
The internal courtyard is landscaped to accommodate reading and studying with benches and an attractive water feature creating the potential for seminars and lectures to take place outside. The area is paved in BBS Silver Grey Granite.
