BBS Supplies Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster Bridge
Working in partnership with Volker Highways from initial concept through to final completion
Situated on the edge of Westminster Bridge, London, the site of the Park Plaza Hotel is in a prime central London location within touching distance of iconic landmarks including Big Ben, the London Eye and the London Aquarium.
This scheme involved a mixture of granites for paving to the hotel courtyard, in addition to raised flower beds constructed using silver-grey granite.
The project is an example of the team at BBS offering our advice and technical expertise during designs, resulting in granites G603, G654 and G684 supplied to complement the colour schemes around the hotel.
The raised silver-grey granite flower beds also offer something slightly out of the ordinary as they are topped with a round-edge coping and have been drilled in the lower sections to allow for lighting inserts, adding a new dimension to the area at night.
Volker Highways added the stainless steel bollards and a distinct UFO style seating feature which compliments the BBS paving underneath.
