BBS provides Indian Sandstone and Portugese Granite for Leeds Playhouse
Leeds Playhouse is one of the destinations on this fantastic new gateway to Leeds’ new cultural quarter, and BBS is proud to hae provided the stone selections that define the spaces.
Routes through the Playhouse Gardens and linked spaces form a seamless and inclusive connection into the heart of this new urban neighbourhood in Leeds.
The spaces are softened through the inclusion of planting, and the high-quality detailing of hard landscape materials, which includes our vibrant City Blend Indian Sandstone and Noche Oscura Portugese Mid Grey Granite in a striking flamed finish. These stones combine to form pathways, steps and seating ledges - all of which are further complemented with a carefully coordinated family of street furniture and lighting elements.
BBS was involved in the first phase of work in 2019 with Bam Construction operating as the main contractor, and later supplied stone to Schofields in 2021, with Caddick Construction as the main contractor on that subsequent phase of work.
