BBS Natural Stone delivers impressive Care Home for Hadrian Healthcare Group, Newcastle
A close working relationship with Walter Thompson Construction ensured that BBS Natural Stone surpassed expectations and delivered a striking result.
BBS enjoyed a very close and positive working relationship with the Directors of Walter Thompson Construction, as well as with the excellent Site Manager who coordinated the construction work. The build was ultimately completed in 2019.
The most challenging aspect in this project was to meet the visual and technical requirements of specifying natural stone for the Victorian building's new wings, that closely matched the style and properties of the original façade. BBS were able to offer several options for approval by the client and local planning department, with the result being a seamless, striking building in keeping with its history and surroundings.
We used Lodgestone Multi Gritstone walling stone for the pitched-faced main new-build walls. Wrenthorpe Buff Sandstone sawn six-sides Ashlar was specified for walling stone and masonry.
