St. Andrews Cathedral, Glasgow

This project utilised a number of different materials both from Italy and Scotland. This was in order to highlight the special relationship between these two communities around this historical cathedral in Glasgow. The architect was keen to choose the two mixes of Italian Porphyry so we took a delegation from Glasgow Council to the quarry in Trento where they were able to see the materials been quarried and cut.

The kerbs channels and ramps were supplied in Scottish Whinstone quarried and cut locally to match existing material. Feature slabs were supplied in Finnish granite at the front door of the Cathedral where we supplied a flag carved with the coat of arms.
