Reclaimed Natural Stone and Artificial Stone in Harmony
Published 18th June 2015BBS have recently completed the supply of reclaimed natural stone walling and artificial stone masonry (Artstone) to a prestigious care-home development in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
The contractor was Walter Thompson Construction from Northallerton, and their client is Hadrian Healthcare.
Originally the 'reclaimed' stone type was requested by the local planning department in order to blend-in with surrounding buildings in what is an historic market-town. However Hadrian Healthcare liked the aesthetic appeal of the finished project so much that they have recently started construction of another care-home in Oulton, Leeds using the same pallet of materials. They are also proposing to replicate the same formula on a further care-home project starting in Harrogate in late 2015.
