BBS Natural Stone supply granite for River Taff Central Link & Penderyn Square Merthyr Tydfil. This was major redevelopment for the town of Merthyr commissioned by Merthyr Tydfil Borough Council. The scheme, designed by Capita Symonds, Newport & Trefforest, included an upgrade of the town centre Streetscape along with the complete upgrade of Penderyn Square, directly in front of the newly refurbished Merthyr town hall, and the new Merthyr gyratory and college building public realm area.
The scheme, constructed by Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd, required in excess of £500k of granite paving, setts, kerbs, steps, tactiles and benches all supplied by BBS. The main features of Penderyn Square is the fan shape feature bands spreading out from the old council offices, this is a well designed and constructed project and one BBS were proud to be involved in.
