Brick Factory Tours for the BBS Team

During April members of the BBS team attended a factory tour of Todhills (Co Durham) courtesy of Terca Wienerberger to help enhance their knowledge of the brick manufacturing process. The idea behind the tour was to learn how bricks were made generally but also meet the team at Todhills to get a further insight to what efforts go into making the bricks and deliveries.

Members of Accounts, Transport, Administration and Sales were all present on the tour which will undoubtedly be beneficial to our Team as well as our long term customers.

The tour itself took over and hour with frequent breaks for questions to be asked by the team throughout different stages of the tour helping to further assist us with our R & D.

From here the team travelled back to Wakefield to visit Nostell Brick factory (courtesy of Ibstock brick) to further enhance our knowledge on the special shaped bricks and arches that we can offer. This was particularly key as some of the sites that we supply do have multiple specials shaped requirements of which both Transport and Accounts were keen to learn more about.

All in all a positive day and a big thank you to Terca Wienerberger and Ibstock respectively for their time and their support not only on the tours but also generally in this turbulent market place.
