BBS wins contract to supply Caithness Stone for new BskyB Academy Development

BBS is proud to be chosen as the natural stone supplier for the new BSkyB Academy development in Isleworth, London. Working closely with PLP Architects and the MACE Group, BBS organised a trip to Scotland to visit the Caithness quarry to link the construction team up with our partners A and D Sutherland.

The Caithness stone visit comprised a quarry viewing, a trip around the stock yards, a demonstration of how the stone was split and ultimately cut, before being packaged and readied for site.The stone will be supplied to P J Carey who are laying the paving on site,the amount to be supplied is in the region of 3000m2 of 100mm sett paving in three widths, and will begin to arrive on site on 12th May, and will continue to be supplied to an agreed programme.
